New Knight Rider

Anybody watch the new Knight Rider show last night? It was alright for me...not too cheesy. Kind of a nice escape from the serious news going on of late and a chance to put the brain on "Relax" mode and watch some decent effects in a TV show. Don't know if it'll last very long, but I think I'll enjoy it while it does last.

i think they went too cheesy on the car.. and that was really the only reason to watch the old series. They moved to Ford and from what I can see does the car actually morph when it's on a run or something like that?

Yeah, it does morph when it's on the move. I thought that KITT changing into a truck was a bit much, but hey, compared to everything else they want us to believe, that's minor.

Indeed! I heard somewhere that after the Transformers movie came out, that really got the big wigs thinking of doing another Knight Rider show...

Now, if KITT sometime down the line actually does transform into a robot, it will indeed have jumped the shark.

I watched about 13 seconds of the end. Long enough to see that hilarious 3-point shot at the end. You know, the one that was totally off-target when the camera was behind him, but magically hit nothing but net when the camera cut to a closeup of the net.

I love the base Shelby Mustang they use, but the rest is complete and utter crap. As a car enthusiast, I can't watch this show on principle just because the morphing and "supercar" bullcrap is too stupid. I hope it flops out of respect for cars.
