What!? They were up 2-0 when I checked in at 8:00...


Edit: Ah... that was before the dodgers scored 7...

I guess with a sport as boring as baseball, you have to come up with stats, but seriously... I picture 5 brains in jars sitting around a table to keep track of this stuff.


• Teams that have won Game 1 of an NLDS on the road have a record of 12-1 in the NLDS. Teams that have won Game 1 of an NLDS at home are 11-2 all time.

• Game 2 of the Cubs-Dodgers NLDS is huge for the North Siders and starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano, because teams down 0-2 in an NLDS have lost all 16 series.

• The Dodgers win in Game 1 gave them the all-time head-to-head series lead over the Cubs 1,013-1,012

I went to Lowes last night to get a new broom and they were all sold out. One of the workers mentioned that a bunch of Dodgers fans swept them all up. Very Happy

Interesting fact I heard on Mike & Mike on the way in this morning...Since the Astros opened their new park in 2000, they have more home playoff wins (eight) than the Cubs do (7) since Wrigley opened in 1914. Unbelievable!
