The battle for Indiana
The mighty Cardinals travel to Bloomington on Saturday... will BSU's offense show that IU's D really isn't any good but instead has been playing creampuffs? Or will BSU sub comb to their traditional faults and fall apart like they always do against that school from down south?
I'm going with the first.. BSU wins 45-31.
I'm secretly hoping ND gets enough wins to make a bowl game and face off against the Cards so they can lay claim to the best Indiana team.

Don't count out Purdue, as much as I don't want to admit it. I suppose come Sept. 27th you can eliminate either ND or Purdue from "The Battle for Indiana".

Re: The battle for Indiana
if they beat ND and IU then maybe BSU can get them instead in a bowl game.. either way, I think BSU is the best team in Indiana.

Whoa there. If Muncie was in Ohio, then I would probably agree with the best in state logic. Heh heh.cardinal5150 wrote:if they beat ND and IU then maybe BSU can get them instead in a bowl game.. either way, I think BSU is the best team in Indiana.
Ball State is much improved, but, and I hate to admit it, so is IU. I'll guess IU over Ball State 27 - 21.

Agreed. I know this is probably the first time anyone in the world has ever said this, but IU and BSU are my two favorite college football teams in Indiana.

I want to see Brady Hoke stick it to Bill Lynch for making me suffer through 4 of the shittiest years BSU has ever had in Football.. how the hell he got the job at IU is still beyond me.. he ran BSU into the ground and it's taken almost 10 years to get them back up..

Yeah, I was a little off on this one.
Ball State is going to get hit because of their schedule. They have a weak one, and with the great big computer system that spits out the rankings, strength of schedule is a significant factor. I would love to see them play a decent team to see how they hang. They will make it to a decent bowl, just not a lower BCS one, unfortunate for their players.
