Is this ice a result of mostly ocean spray freezing upon contact? That would really suck if it was here.

Yes, it is a lake. There were a lot more pics, I just sent a few.... look at the bench, it shows just how thick the ice is.

That's what Niagara Falls looks like in the winter. I had a couple of pictures with everything icy in Niagara. I'll look for them.
