Well, KitchenSlave is no longer in the food business as of this week. But I did have a pretty good sammich at Arby's yesterday, does that count? Bacon Arbymelt...mmmm

I used to work at the Clarion Hotel though, the old Holiday Inn in downtown. I really quit giving a darn the last few months that I worked though so the food probably went downhill. The service really sucks. But my replacement that I hired might make things better again, at least on the food side.

There, how's that? Wink

Oh, and I moved out of Ft Wayne this past weekend. If you want NW Ohio reviews, let me know.

Hey Kitchen ... hope you land on your feet over there in Buckeye land. I think I have read a post from you that you are from the Bryan area. Hope it all works out for you.

So now that you are out of the FTW restaurant scene wanna share any really gross stories about FTW establishments?

I take Cincy's approach with the sausage analogy and would rather not know.

Hey, some have to earn it the hard way, others have it bestowed.

Well, you all should know that, yes, the 5 second rule DOES apply in restaurants. Smile

About the only one I can think of is from a former job, Munchies on Maplecrest. The kitchen in the place was disgusting to say the least but one of the worst things that I recall is how we kept the 1000 island dressing that we used on reuben sandwiches on a shelf under the griddle...all day and all night. If it took 3 days to use up that bottle, it sat there on the hot shelf under the griddle that entire time.

Hmm, I'll have to think of some others, I'm sure I saw a lot of bad stuff.
