Turkey day FF Update

Three more games to the playoffs. I have always added an extra week of playoffs to this league so it's actually hard to not make it in. No less than 8 teams make it, with the top two seeds getting bye weeks. Right now the teams on the outside looking in are SomeDys, JerseyGirl43, SavageOatmeal, and the Pork'n Beans.

Great matchups this week, with three of the games starting tomorrow.

Pez (5-6) vs Pork'n Beans (2-8-1)
Trap game for the Pezheads, who have climbed from the basement to the playoffs with two wins... Parity rocks. the Pork is looking for Brady to have a good week against the undefeated saints, and for Frank Gore to have a big day against Jax. The Pezheads are again unleashing their dynamic duo of Steve Smiths (which is also my uncle's name, strangely). I think the Pezheads roll... Also, I'm never quite sure if meta's team name refers to pork and beans or porking beans...


SomeDys (5-6) vs JerseyGirl (5-6)
Two teams both at 5-6, both need the win to stay in the playoff hunt. The big question on JerseyGirls mind must be exactly how big ben's big head is doing after he got his salad tossed last week. Will Dixon be the guy taking snaps in the wildcat? Can Ben's eyes be any closer together? After sending jersey and curtain some incredibly scathing smack last week when their beloved steelers lost to the chefs, I feel compelled to pick the jerseygirl for the upset win.

Savage Oatmeal (4-7) vs No Moneky Mascot (5-6)
How the heck are so many teams 5-6? Sheesh... Cincy has got to be pleased with the Bengals seeimingly being able to make good on their playoff hopes this year. Sure, they lost to the raiders, and you can bet Al Davis was giving someone the finger somewhere. Is this the week that Oatmeal decides to deploy his all-cinncinati squad? After the commish located the only monkey mascot in the known universe last week, I think I have to pick the Oatmeal for the win!

Razors (5-5-1) vs Canuck (5-6)
Canuck's Philip Rivers will be Poised to have a huge day against the lowly KC secondary, which has only been known to stop the Bengals. Also a huge play in Chris Johnson who will have a field day against the cardinals. On the other side is the Razors, an early favorite that has hit some bad luck down the stretch. The Razors pin their hopes on Manning connecting with Wayne, and for the Green Bay running game to come up big against the Lions. I have to keep it in the family and pick my Dad for the win...


Steel Curtain (7-4) vs Frayed Endz (7-4)
Co-Matchup of the week!
Two league leaders square off in what could ultimately be for a share of the league lead. And the Curtain is posting cool smack: "BRING IT ON UNEXPERIENCED, OVER-CONFIDENT YOUNG THING THAT NEEDS TO BOW DOWN TO HER ELDERS...LOL" Wow... that's rough...Well, the SteelCurtain should know that the Endz put down 131 points for a 58 point spread against No Monkey last week... should be a tough tough matchup where the Endz look for Favre to come up big against a reeling Chicago team on the road, and the steelCurtain is again counting on 4 Steelers to come up big on the road against the Ravens... The curtain lives or dies on the Steelers, and I think the Steelers get punched in the mouth again this week. Endz win.


Scooby's Dog Pound (8-3) vs Markwes Megabytes (7-4)
Co-Matchup of the week!
#1 vs #2... Can scooby keep the pedal down and hang on to sole possession of first place? His defense faces NE, and his QB faces NE... could be in for a rough ride as there are many that think NE can hand the saints their first loss. Markwes #1 WR is Colston, who wont catch a TD pass unless Brees throws it, however I really Like his 3 GB players matching up against the perennial thanksgiving punching bag that is the Detroit Lions. I say Markwes for the win, if nothing else to keep the league more interesting as we head down the stretch.
