Tim Tebow ad

You know what? The Women's Media Center group that opposes this ad can pony up $2.5 million for their own ad if they choose. From what I understand, in no way is it negative toward pro-abortionists. Because of their efforts, more people will be watching for the ad now whereas probably hardly anyone would have even noticed it.

He was the first sophomore in history to win a Heisman trophy. He was the first college football player both to rush and pass for 20 touchdowns in a season. Last year, he led his college team, the Florida Gators, to their second national championship in three years. At 6 feet 3 inches and 245 pounds, Tim Tebow may go down in history as the greatest college football player who ever lived.
Pro-abortion rights activists demand CBS pull an anti-abortion Super Bowl ad.And to think none of that would have happened if not for a decision his mother made nearly 23 years ago.
That is the message of a controversial new ad starring Tebow and his mother, Pam. Paid for by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family, the ad tells the story of Bob and Pam Tebow, who was pregnant with their fifth child when the couple travelled to the Philippines on a missionary trip.

So he'll be there, likely sandwiched between the buxom babes of Go Daddy and the 134th beer commercial of the day, with his mother, Pam.

Re: Tim Tebow ad
I think part of the flack CBS is getting is that back in 2004, some religious group (United Church of Christ???) wanted to buy time during the Super Bowl for an ad that promoted how gay-friendly their church was. And CBS said no to the ad.
Re: Tim Tebow ad
I say what's then is then and what's now is now. I don't know anything about that to comment, but apparently CBS had a reason. If a church that advertised being hetero-friendly got turned down, do you think there would be any flack?Cincy Fan 44 wrote:I think part of the flack CBS is getting is that back in 2004, some religious group (United Church of Christ???) wanted to buy time during the Super Bowl for an ad that promoted how gay-friendly their church was. Re: Tim Tebow ad
I dont really know of anyone that is pro-abortion. Just Saying.
Also, it does seem that anyone wanting to pull an ad such as this is not exactly being fair to their cause. At 2.5 million for 30 seconds, I'm not sure how 'free' this speech is, but it's certainly the protected sort of speech. Tebow may still turn out to be a mass murderer after he fails to live up to his Massive expectations and spends all the little money he does make luring unsuspecting hookers to his seedy apartment where he dismembers them before feeding the chunks to his pigs.
Just Sayin.

I figure if FF can describe pro-lifers as "pro-illegal-abortion", then I'm entitled to use my term.Pez wrote:I dont really know of anyone that is pro-abortion. Just Saying.
