Would you buy a car now, start making payments on it now, but agree that you couldn't have the keys to it until 4 years from now?

...'cause that's essentially what we're doing with this new Health Care Bill. Yeah us!!!

You're being over dramatic. The bi-partisan CBO stated that the plan would actually save money longer term, the public option was off the table, this amounts to pre-existing conditions, laws to keep insurers from canceling coverage for the, well, sick... and to insure 32 million people.

The fact that a hospital can charge me $799 for some stitches and an xray, then happily accept $250 for it from my insurance company, meanwhile taking an uninsured to court for the full $799 and eventually writing off the full $799 is, well, robbery.

When a hospital charges a private individual 3x what they charge an insurance company you cannot tell me with a straight face that the healthcare industry is being the victim...

Medicare fix would push health care into the red

On Friday March 19, 2010, 6:33 pm EDT
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressional budget scorekeepers say a Medicare fix that Democrats included in earlier versions of their health care bill would push it into the red.

The Congressional Budget Office said Friday that rolling back a programmed cut in Medicare fees to doctors would cost $208 billion over 10 years. If added back to the health care overhaul bill, it would wipe out all the deficit reduction, leaving the legislation $59 billion in the red.

The so-called doc fix was part of the original House bill. Because of its high cost, Democrats decided to pursue it separately. Republicans say the cost should not be ignored. Congress has usually waived the cuts to doctors year by year.

Great find there LTRT!

Obama: You know he's lying whenever his lips are moving!

Too bad Bman's not around here anymore...I would love to see how he'd defend the lies this guy told us on the campaign trail. I'll admit, I swallowed the lies hook, line, and sinker 'cause I wanted to believe this guy was somehow different. But he's not. Instead of Change Change Change, it's really Same Same Same.

The CBO quit being bi-partisan when the head of the CBO was called into the oval office before scoring the bill last year. No other time has the CBO been summoned to the white house. Still haven't figured out how you can cut 500 million from medicare at the same time as adding all these people that can't afford health insurance to the medicare rolls.

Your living in lala land if you think insurance companies are not going to raise rates on individuals and companies by having to cover young adults on their parents insurance for another 5 years. That makes his saving of $2,500 a big fat lie.

I agree with you medical care should have set cost, with or without insurance should pay the same thing. That however could have been fixed without this boondoggle.

You Lie!

President Obama signed the Senate health care bill into law Tuesday. He did not sign the executive order on abortion negotiated with Michigan Democratic Congressman Bart Stupak in an 11th-hour arrangement that may well have saved the entire health care reform effort.
