Aggie: Question for you regarding the Astros...

How we lookin'??? Reds win first 2 of their series against the 'Stros...I'm having some sweep dreams tonight!

I was having some optimistic thoughts of ragging you on the Board today when I was listening to the game on the way home, for the brief moment the score was 3-2, 'stros. Alas, that was rapidly washed away.

Yes, heavy sigh, the 'Stros are looking worse than usual the first half of this year. If you know your history, though -- they tend to bounce back much stronger after the All-Star break. We'll kick your ass then, my friend.

Well Aggie...it's the bottom of the 8th...Astros only have one more at bat against the Reds, who they're trailing 5-1...I think it's just about time for Irene to say goodnight...

I listened to the 8th and 9th on my way home....... sigh. Not a pretty game.

I still think we'll kick your ass all over sundown after the All-Star break.

If that happens, I think it'll happen w/out your current manager, Cecil Cooper. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if he's fired soon. Maybe Bagwell or Biggio could take over as the manager? Those guys ate Reds pitching for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a midnight snack!

Reds magic number to clinch the division is now 8 games! I love this Reds team!

hey, whaddaya know? Houston actually took the series against Cincy. That magic .500 season is within our grasp. (sad when that's your goal.)

That Astros team looks like a good young team in the making. Next year should be pretty good for them.
