IU Basketball Coach
So who does everyone think will be the new IU coach? Does Dan Dakich stand a chance? What about Mark Few from Gonzaga?

Even as sporadic as they can be, they'll probably get past the first round unless they're seeded a lot lower than I expect. I'm more concerned about my Boilers - they're also sporadic and a large bulk of the team are freshmen who have never played in such a big event.

As much as I hate to say it, I have to agree with the national consensus that the Big Ten is not all that great. The one thing that makes me at least a little optimistic about Purdue in the tourney is that if they get past the first round they should have a potentially winnable game this year, not like last year when they got Florida.

It's right next to every post that mentions basketball.

Re: IU Basketball Coach
The Big Ten has been down this year in everything, I really think Sampson could have helped turn around the entire league, but he's a cheater.
It'll be interesting to see who they get. Few always pops up as an option for some reason, but really, why would he leave a school he's built up but yet still has low expectations for a school like IU where he HAS to make it into the first couple rounds of the NCAA tournament, beat Purdue and win the Big Ten to be considered a decent year, plus IU is going to get hit with some sort of sanctions.
I'd try and steal from my own backyard. Go to Butler. They've been a coaching machine as of late. But I think they'll dig into the IU Alum barrel and find someone solid to go with. They went for the big splash, and ended up getting it all over themselves. My guess is they'll want to go with the safe pick this time, maybe it is Dakich, maybe not.

What about Alford? Any chance he leaves New Mexico?
IU nuthuggers would wet themselves. They've been dreaming of that one for years now.
