Olympics - the end

Yay, USA! Nice to see we won the medal count, although I was surprised at how "close" the men's b'ball finals were. A seven-point margin ain't nuttin' compared to their prior games. Plus, they were showing lots of Dream Team info from 1992, so maybe I am just making a bad comparison.

Closing ceremonies - zzzzzzzz. But while I'm a little too old to care if the Spice Girls reunited, I did enjoy Eric Idle singing Always Look on the Bright Side of Life. And the Queen performance was interesting. Still, I have to admit I found it mostly pretty boring.

I didn't stay up, but I heard there was a big brouhaha that NBC switched to a new show before the ceremonies were complete. So no one here saw the Who perform as well as a few others. I have to admit that if I had stayed up I would have been ticked too. NBC has become kind of a joke.

Definitely not a good closing and NBC made it even worse. Hoping that is the last olympics they get to broadcast for a while.
