My brother is a guitar junkie, and knew a friend of a friend that had an ad running in a magazine looking for a specific Les Paul guitar... he remembered (he's 40) that as a high schooler, a buddy grandmother had one sitting under her bed. What followed is a really long story, but he ended up getting the people together and the orignal guy that wanted it didnt expect the guitar to be in such pristine condition and couldnt afford it. It was eventually sold to another individual for $60,000

I wish I knew the differences in guitars, but I don't. I've had a drumset for over half my life now and I couldn't tell you the difference in a Tama versus a Gretch versus a Pearl. I know my Tama Swingstar sounds great, that's really all I care about. But I've always viewed it more as how I tune my heads than the drum itself. But, I'm sure the drum is a large part.

I Sold my Les Paul gold top in 67 for 500.00 I paid 250 for it today its worth about 200 grand it was a 1957 since then I buy only Gibson's

The one I have now cost me a grand when it was new but it was limited production form Gibson only 370 made

Now its worth 3,500.00 goes up every year

I could shoot myself several times for sell my Les Paul

thanks for bringing that up

I didn't need to think about that again

lol.. yeah.. but could you have had any idea that it would have appreciated that much?

I keep wanting to sell my drum set but I don't see it appreciating like a guitar, and everytime I play it I'm happy I didn't sell it. Plus I have no idea what it's really worth these days.
