"the OSU"
Well looks like we can add PAC 10 to the conference teams OSU chokes on. Not that Michigan didn't look any better.

Re: "the OSU"
I can't really say I'm surprised... no one plays well at the Coliseum except Pac 10 teams and frankly, I think OSU has been overrated for a few years now. Not to mention it never helps to go into a huge game and have your stud RB hurt, especially when your coach's philosophy is ball and clock control.
I've noticed a trend, Tressel can't beat fast teams. The SEC kicks his butt, USC kicked his butt, Vince Young didn't kick his butt, but he beat him, Illinois is/was fast. OSU is setup to beat slower and/or equal speed teams, but they can't compete with the faster teams.
But you can't teach speed. So it's not like that's a blueprint to beat them.

Woot! That was the only college game I watched this weekend before a nuclear meltdown happened in the living room and I had to turn on Dora the explorer before we lost the eastern seaboard....
Where's realquiet when we need him?

We always set up my daughter in another room. She'll sit there and watch/play for about an hour or so then it's time for Noggin or Cartoon Network.

Re: "the OSU"
I'm pretty much writing off this season.. it's here.. but it's not really happening. It was fun to see osu lose any chance of a nat'l title game though. I'm picking Wisconsin to win the Big Ten this year.

Big match up this weekend.... The Mighty Cardinals travel down to Bloomington.. I'm hoping BSU finally gets over their inability to beat IU. They've got a better team and MUCH better coach, no excuses this year.

Dude, if your mouth wasn't full of BO's nuts, you would have had approximately 85 posts about how great osu is. (before Saturday) Thats how I know you're off the deep end.

Yea, I think I'm going to explore this option. We have always been hesitant to set a TV up in my daughter's room (more on principle than anything), but I may have to explore this more since it's football season.
I'm still not that big into a college game. If it wasnt for OSU's nuts on Bman's chin I would have ignored this game completely... LOL...

Re: "the OSU"
Not even remotely close to being dead..
Tressel's record against other major non Big-10 teams...
2001: 0-2 (lost to UCLA and South Carolina, both on the road)
2002: 3-0 (Texas Tech, Washington State, Miami (FL)) first two at home, last neutral
2003: 3-0 (Washington, NC State, Kansas State) again.. at home, then neutral
2004: 2-0 (NC State, Oklahoma State) a rare early road game, then neutral
2005: 1-1 (Texas, Notre Dame) Loss at home, beating at neutral site
2006: 1-1 (Texas, Florida) An even more rare very early road game (and a win) and a drubbing away
2007: 1-1 (Washington, LSU) Win at Washington (almost a trend to play away now) and another drubbing away
2008: 0-1 (USC) embarrased in the coliseum
That's 11-6 (.648) all time versus non mid-majors/1-AA schools and non big-10. And I'd argue 7 of those wins were against sub par majors (SC, TT, WSU, NCS, KSU, OSU, ND) so you can take them for what they are worth. If you back out the cream puffs that's 4-6 (.400).
That's not a very good return on the trust in the vest... About the only thing separating him from John Cooper is his ability to beat Lloyd Carr.

I'm against having a TV in her room as well. We have a TV in the master bedroom that we let her sit on the bed and watch from time to time. We have one in the workout room also but there's too much stuff for her to break her head on in there.

That issue was resolved with a new coach... it's only a matter of time before the practice of bringing in Y-State and San Diego State and all the ohio Mac schools comes up and bites OSU.
