Why didn't I think of this?

I guess what's sad (and I'm showing my inner geek here) is that I recognized the Decepticon Transformer emblem on the car before I read the article. Personally I would have decorated my car like Rodimus Prime, but I digress.

Sounds like the guy was just trying to do something for his kid, as opposed to the fuckstick up in Auburn who one of the local news stations did a piece on last year. Plus anyone with a brain could look at that "light bar" and realize it's fake.

not so sure anyone would realize its fake..pulled over at nite..scared and dont know what you did wrong..i think it is a potential for manipulative power plays that could have bad outcomes. if a good decent citizen can do it, why cant a less decent one?

I have to agree. It's obvious that it's fake looking at a close-up picture, but to an old lady driving down a dark road it might not be so obvious. I don't know how this doesn't fall under impersonating a cop. I would think the key is intent, and it's obvious that the intent is to look like a cop car.

It doesn't light up...

I kept hoping that guy would have tried to pull me over when I had to go up to Waterloo on occasion. Never happened though. I think he only tried it with women, afraid men would just get out of their cars and kick his ass.
