Re: Herb Cocktails
I haven't tried them; they were just posted today in the Houston Chronicle. I do love fresh herbs, so I was curious if they'd be any good.
Generally, when I'm drinking, I stick to wine and beer, with a more-than-occasional margarita and an infrequent dirty martini. These drinks are probably too much work for me, so I may go to Ouisie's (a local restaurant) to try them.

Re: Herb Cocktails
Those do sound "interesting", but my recipe is:
About an inch or so of rum/whiskey/vodka in a glass and fill the rest with some kind of pop. With each following drink, the proportion of booze to pop increases. I like to keep it simple.

Re: Herb Cocktails
The only herb I want in my drink is mint for the mojito. Other wise leave the vegetables, fruit, herbs etc. out of my drinks.
Re: Herb Cocktails
I don't usually mind a little herb and a drink.
Aggie, I bet you'd like the mojito since you like dirty martinis.

Re: Herb Cocktails
I do like mojitos, but hardly ever drink them. It depends on what mood I'm in. Usually, if I'm in the mood for a mojito, I'm also in the mood for a margarita. And I really missed having a good margarita while I was in Fort Wayne, and have been making up the time lost since I've been here.

Re: Herb Cocktails
I'm mostly a beer drinker as well, but both of those sound good enough to try. The Basil Mojito sounds a bit more interesting than the Rosemary.
As far as fruit and veggies go, as long as it's not too sweet, or "foo foo" with a forest of decoration adorning the glass and it has sufficient quantity of alcohol, I'd drink it.
For the "light beer" drinkers, just curious whether anyone has tried a slice of lime or lemon in a draught light beer? For me, I do that occasionally, gives it a nice lift.
