That was quite the statement, Meta. Good one.
Having been a dumbass and just now noticing the topic...
Debates ASAP for the VPs. No delays. I suppose the McCain camps needs as much time as possible to train the bitch on how to answer questions.

It's the fact that 100 million people might be watching the debate and can see for themself what each candidate thinks about this meltdown. Maybe seeing the candidates side by side will calm some people. What is McCain going to do in Washington, at this point this issue is in the Banking Committee's hands ... guess what ... MCCain is not on the banking committee. He is there for a photo op ...
Face American McCain ... tell us what you know about this situation. I am sure Card knows more than Obama.
Good to know you feel the maybe 100M who might be watching the debates (highly unlikely) outweigh the 240M who are going to be affected by this deal... there's that strong bman math pulling through again.. I knew I could count on you.

I'm fascinated that you guys (and pretty much everyone) know virtually nothing about Palin yet you can be so heavily against her.... especially since most of you claim to be unbiased to some degree...

... and what are we missing? You know virtually the same things as we do and yet you're trusting her to run the country?
Bias, or lack thereof doesn't change Palin's qualifications or experience.

C'mon Bman, it's not like he's gonna score any points by showing up. Just watch the poor old bastard dog the 20M potential voters who are bored enough on a Friday night to watch some smiling foreskin trying not to vomit his pepto-shake while trying hard poise himself as a "fixer".

So I'm curious then... at what point does something become large enough to require a Presidents full attention? Biden gave us the quote that FDR got on the TV essentially right away.... even though TV's didn't exist and he wasn't President... so clearly he thinks this is a large issue.
Is the possibility of tens of thousands of American's really not important enough to interfere in a political campaign?
hmmmm i was thinking that in the news thread when it was speculated what might happen if the bailout IS, and ISNT done, you said the no-bailout idea (paraphrasing) might result in things not getting much worse but might result in things getting a whole lot worse. and on if we do pass the bailout it might be a good fix but it might just be a temporary thumb in the dyke that will need replenished before too long..? and yes i may have completely misunderstood what you were saying..
and thats sufficient reasons the candidates should decline allowing the public to see them discuss issues in a debate for a couple hours friday evening? the sky will fall on america if the debate takes place=its unpatriotic to do the debate when bush cries wolf one more time? do you even wonder how locked in we should get before the fbi has at least some preliminary findings?
considering the dollar figure they arrived at is not based on anything except that they knew they needed a big dollar amount, and that the DEMS were told by bush in yesterdays meeting that they need to give bush a plan he is "willing to pass" quickly, i think this is a battle that wont be ended by sunday nite. the numerous highly regarded people who are now jumping in and saying no bailout makes sense or will fix anything need to be considered.
question...the airlines had issues and problems financially and didnt some of them file bankruptcy and do a reorganization? werent there auto industry bankruptcies filed in the past when they were in financial straits? what if these banks filed bankruptcy...what the worst case and best case scenarios?

card--after filtering out your personal opinion on what people want and the dow impact based on speculation of bailout v no bailout, the comment i was thinking of when i posted a reference to your comment in the news thread was
"The markets could bounce back with no action, and they could fail with this action. "

I'll take the stuffed sea lion, smiling. It would look more like a foreskin than the trophy.

Gosh, a +1 AND a stuffed foreskin...

FF, you need to get your eyeglass prescription update.
