Dave Matthews - "under the table and dreaming"
I've never been a huge Dave fan... the Palladia channel had a live show of his and I really dug it... so... trying to see if there is something Im missing...

DMB is my alltime favorite. Back in the day, high school and college, me and my buds would go to about every show we could. I think my talley is 20 or so shows of his. I haven't been in a couple of years. This summer we are going agian down at Deer Creek. We're taking my 3 year old daughter with us. She loves "Cornbread" and the Neil Young cover of "Down By the River". Both great songs by the way.
She also likes "Satellite", which she calls 'Rack, Shak, and Benny' which we later found out is the name of an episode of Veggie Tales. Not sure how she put the two together.

Re: What are you listening to?
Rock... Kids amaze me... they really have empty heads... make connections between things you cant even fathom, but seem so obvious to them...
When my 3 y/o was just barely able to talk (I mean barely), I was changing her diaper at my folks place, and she pointed to one of those collector toys my mom had that was the horse "Barbaro", the horse that broke his leg some years ago after winning the kentucky derby... I was just chattering and told her those story about the horse, the broken leg, the triple crown etc...
last summer, she noticed up at the lake that someone had a horse emblem above their shed doors, and she mentioned the horse that bromke its leg... Yesterday she and her brother were in the bike trailer, and she said, "Tell me a story about the horse that broke his leg..." I replied, "You know that story already, why dont you tell it to your brother..." Which she, of course, proceeded to do.

That's the early Phil Collins as lead singer Genesis, right? I used to be a big fan until Invisible Touch turned Genesis into the Phil Collins Band (with surprisingly weak drums)....

The Big One, 700 WLW online: Barack Obama's speech announcing Sonia Sotomayor as his choice for the Supreme Court. Apparently she had a hand in ending the baseball strike back in 1995? I'll have to look into that one...

Genesis - "Three Sides Live"... a title that made sense in 1983 when I had the double vinyl... Phil Collins did ruin Genesis.... I didnt realize how clear the evidence was...

Dave Matthews Band - Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King
This just got released today. It's had some good reviews, so far I can get into the first few songs I've heard.

Let's see, tonight the rockermom-mobile was rocking with Stone Sour (come what(ever) may) and Red (End of Silence).
On a related note, I'm so excited that Red will be at Pierre's next month! Woot!

Re: What are you listening to?
I'm listening to Raising Sand, by Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, for the second or third time. But it's the first time I've really listened. It's an odd little CD, not sure I like it yet. My hairdresser recommended it.
And even now I can't say I'm paying full attention as I'm working away. But today the office is fairly empty, and I can concentrate more.
Anyone else have thoughts on this CD?
