R.E.M. - "Document"... I had this cassette in my walkman for nearly the entire summer of 1987 (8? 9?)... I mowed 8 lawns a week and blew the money on happy happy...

R.E.M - "Life's Rich Pageant"
Some may argue that this is the quintessential REM album.... I think arguing about such a fact is a foolish waste of time. Just jammed full of gems: Fall on Me, These Days, Flowers of Guatemala, the 1:24 Underneath the bunker... even the more widely heard Superman or Swan Swan H...
We knee-skinned it, you and me
we knee-skinned that river red.

I've never listened to an R.E.M. album. But I will argue that the one with the orange cover is better than this one, was it "Monster"? Someone I know had this CD, a buddy, sister, someone?

That was monster... One of my least favorites... clearly Life's Rich Pageant is a much more groundbreaking work... carry on...

I know I won't get a lot of agreement, including from the band itself, but I prefer Fables of the Reconstruction.Pez wrote:R.E.M - "Life's Rich Pageant"

hmmm... Feeling Gravity's Pull was a phenomenal track... I wont agree, but I wont disagree either... Fables is a great album.
After looking for my copy of fables, I came across R.E.M.'s Reckoning...

Pandora - from my blackberry...
I started with Ozark Mountain Daredevils and then it generates a radio playlist "like" that band's style.

atta boy...that's step one. Step two is to completely ignore LTRT's post in the middle class thread. I know it will be tough, but you can do it.

I'm not a big Radiohead fan, or U2. So that puts me in the minority across the world I'm pretty sure.

I have nothing necessarily against radiohead, just never got into them. I like one sone, "Creep" I think. It was on the radio years ago so I'm sure it's not their best stuff. U2...I just think bono is a giant dildo mostly.
I bet if you'd know 3 or 4 Incubus songs if you heard them. They were getting some pretty heavy radio play a few years ago.

yea, figured that would be the case... Radiohead's "Creep" is a good song of theirs, but they have an amazing complexity... they write albums...
