Home Improvement
Married with Children
2 1/2 men
Roseanne
That 70's show
If the show keeps going Big Bang Theory could be replacing one of the top 5.

Re: Your Favorite 5 TV Comedies
I was too young to appreciate Police Squad. I think I might have been in 1st or 2nd grade when that came out; however, I really liked the first Naked Gun movie ("This is our hill, and these are our beans."). The sequels didn't do anything for me though.Markwes wrote:You call yourself a fan of corny jokes and don't mention Police Squad?Otherwise, good list except I was never a big fan of Friends.

I almost mentioned that too. That show is hilarious.Scooby01_98 wrote:If the show keeps going Big Bang Theory could be replacing one of the top 5.

Re: Your Favorite 5 TV Comedies
1. MASH
2. 2.5 men
3. The Simpsons
I'm not too much into comedies...
I would add an honorable mention for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, mostly because of it's deft use of campy horror, homorous dialogue, and amusing spaghetti plot twists and plot these to expose the gritty underbelly of interpersonal relations, coming of age, the burden of responsibility etc...
Anyone who watches and gets Buffy the Vampire Slayer will realize how brilliant it is. Whats interesting and almost unique about Buffy is that the show ended before it jumped the shark.

I absolutely LOVE Buffy, but didn't consider it a comedy. Angel also had humor, but it was definitely a darker show.
Geek moment -- are you reading the Buffy comic book penned by Joss?

Yea, I wouldnt consider it a 'sitcom,' certainly, but I find the humor in Buffy to be funnier than, say, 'Seinfeld'... But, like I said I dont get into too many comedies...
No, I'm not reading the comic, I just watched the show on USA every morning for 3-4 years (every morning at 6:00 AM)...
