You and Canuck should have a little epicurean tea party while you're at it.meta4 wrote:What? And completely disrupt epicurean life as we know it in Fort Lame? And I'm just talking about the dough/crust! I'm inclined to believe that Markwes, Bman and LTRT are the norm. I have been trying to figure out how this happens... people get into a very comfortable groove with their palate and they don't often venture outside of that. (I'm fairly sure they do occasionally, but you get my drift?)
Maybe we could have guest chef's ... IrishGuy on the Prime Rib, Pez's lake burger pizza (no tomatos).
I really feel sorry for the Shopaholics, and others who have, or have family members with various allergies and thereby limited menu choices. Maybe someday someone will come up with a treatment.

Actually, I'm fine with different toppings when it makes sense in my warped mind. Chicken alfredo? I'm right there. But mint and pine nut pesto? Uhhh...

Papa Murphys
I'm gonna get one today.
Try that Mediteranian pizza. I swear you will want to roll around in it.
You're gonna have to send one for me, Fedex it, please.![]()
Just don't roll around in it before you send it.
Ok, I got the meta-terrain-ian chicken pizza, thin crust and some Garlic cheese bread. Called the wife and she's excited about it too.

Sorry Canuck, they were out of blocks of ice and the lady said the pizza would probably fall apart.
Why don't you just move down here?

I think if I ever get to Canada, I'd hope i'd get to sample some of the "tea" and cook with Canuck.
Markwes, sometimes it works better if you just shut your brain off and take a bite. Seriously.

I'll move in to Jugo's house he has in Fort Wayne, take the oil from the side of his house to the disposal site. Now I just have to get a job.
You ever get to Canada, let me know man.
Ever tried making a pizza with curried chicken? Did that a few times, my three nephews said it is their favourite pizza.
I drink lots of tea, 5 - 7 cups a day.
Cooking would be a great deal of fun.
I apologize for not saying thank you for asking the lady about shipping it.

I expect a full report on its yumminess.
I also suggest serving it with a nice import beer(s)

Can't recall if I have had curried chicken on pizza. Sounds awesome.
I didn't really ask her to ship it to an unknown address in Canada. But if she was real cute, I might have...

I thought about asking her but then I remembered that funky Canadian zip code problem and she didn't look like she could handle that.

I prefer white sauce to red and if it is red, I like just enuff to color the crust. Probably only 2 things that I WILL NOT eat on a pizza... Black Olives and Onions (GAG) but otherwise the weirder the pizza the more I probably like it. Not a fan of pesto either, only bcuz I think Basil is nasty.
Papa John's has a Spinach Alfredo that is to too bad, but I prefer to make my own.

Re: The BEST Pizza in Fort Wayne is at...
I typically make my own pizza and vary from your All-American style to very European style depending on the mood. If I'm pressed for time I just go with a whole wheat crust, roma tomatoes, garlic, feta cheese, black olives etc or bar-b-que sauce, chicken, pineapple, jalapeno, cheese. I get pretty inventive though so you never know what sauce and combo you might get. I've made some for neighbors and they really liked them so I've been asked to make them again from time to time. One of my neighbors wanted to make some for friends so I just did the dough, put it on pans and let her have them. Meta would probably like them because I add various spices to the dough to compliment the pizza.
If I'm buying them:
Papa Murphy
Toscani
Big Daddies (Surprisingly good pizza and toppings to the end so no wasted crust that I don't eat.)
There's some place down on main street by Paula's the 'red' something I think that has really good pizza. Takes a while but pretty good. It was really smoky so I only went once but we used to pick up from there occassionly when I worked downtown. The name is not right but I'll edit if I think of it.

Ok, I got the thin crust metaterranian. It's great. A tad over spiced, cut the dried tomato's up into smaller chunks in it would get a 9 on a scale to 10.
Good call OA, it was nice for a change and next time I'll try the thicker crust.
Oh, and the beers are going well with it everything.

Agreed on the spices, we have them scale it back a bit.
Never tried a thicker crust, I kinda dig the ultra thin occasionally.
We often add more pre-cooked chicken chunks to it, and we too spread out the fixin's a bit.
