The Scott's Deli version is not nearly as good, trust me.
Yeh, but why go thru all the trouble for people you can't stand being with?
Who said I can't stand being with them?

The food's gotta be pretty fuggin' bad for Fleek not to eat it.

See, now you may be onto something there... not sure if they like this, but it's not really that spicy IMHO.
When you say "pussies" I know exactly what you mean. I think it's more of a "picky" eater thing.
I would totally do canned chicken for picky eaters... but I'm not really sure if they are picky because this is the first pot luck at the new job.
I'll give 'em the better half of the deal and see what happens.

Bingo.
We had a lady at my old job that made Buckeyes (the peanut butter / chocolate candy things) and another coworker was over at her house when she made them. Well, according to that coworker, the lady was sitting on the floor mixing all the ingredients together and her cat kept coming up and licking inside the bowl while she was mixing and all she would do was shove the cat out of the way and then would continue stirring. She acted like it was no big deal.
Needless to say, by the time lunch hour rolled around, the entire office knew about it and no one touched 'em. Ever since then, I've been the pickiest fat dude you've ever met when it comes to potlucks. Bad personal hygiene? I'm not touching whatever you make. Even if I get a weird vibe from someone, I won't touch what they make.
That's why I always make sure to bring something...I'm not making everyone else happy. It's mainly something to fall back on in case everything else sucks. And where I work, that's usually the case. These people are THE WORST at organizing a potluck. The sign-up sheet always looks like the following:
Sloppy Joes
Chips
Nacho dip
Dessert

Paper Plates

I agree, it you're making it for the people at work, f-em and go with the easy way. If you make it for yourself, family, or friends use the good stuff.

Well, I'd have to say that it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I threw in 5 oz of blue cheese crumbles and 3/4 c. blue cheese dressing. Last time I made it with ranch and it was better.
We did a contest where you vote for the best dish. The pumpkin roll won.
So I really had no chance to win. It was awesome. Pumpkin roll should be a schedule A DEA controlled substance.

LOL, who are you trying to convince? Us or yourself?

There's always next year...may the best can win.
Oh, thanks for that link, I can defintely say I've never had a pumpkin roll.
On a side note, I did have a sweet potato tart Tuesday at a Farmer's market.

I'm not so sure we could cooperate on a cooking show with this kind of culinary snobbery.

It's not snobbery, just some good ol' fashion razzing...
