President Obama!!!
I know some are disappointed, I am very happy. I have never been, nor ever will be a racist and this to me, tells me that just maybe, the US is finally coming around to the outside color does not always determine the person inside.

Yep, yep, yep...President Obama.
Congratulations to Bman and the volunteer team for contributing to the success of Barack Obama's White house bid.
Did you guys see the large demonstration on Pennsylvania Ave in front of the White House?
They surprised the Secret Service even...LOL.

Re: President Obama!!!
Glad to see a war monger pushing Bush policies didn't make it into the White House. The American people have spoken, and they are tired of the Republican agenda.
What a landslide. Estimated 338 to 163. McCain went down like the the planes he crashed.

Re: President Obama!!!
yes we did
cnn called indiana for mccain early..then removed that status within an hour because the dem votes were leaping up there. 1 county in se indiana, wayne? was the only county not counted yet at midnight when i went to bed and in the previous half hour obama numbers really moved up..i was glad when i woke up today to see they DID support the winner after all!

Re: President Obama!!!
This may surprise some of you, but I (like Denny Craine on Boston Legal) actually did vote for Barack. When it came right down to it, I saw no vision for the future from McCain. None. It seemed to me he was just latching on to whatever he thought was the hot button issue at the time (Plumber Joe, Socialism, etc.). And I don't look at it from the perspective of voting for the lesser of the two evils. For the most part, I have nothing against Obama (Wm. Clinton was a different story) and do like the guy.
Probably the defining moment came for me when I tried to imagine myself waking up on Wednesday, November 5th to a McCain win. My first thought? "Oh shit." That pretty much did it for me and why I then cast my vote to Obama. I also think that on the world stage, Obama has a better chance of being able to sit down with other leaders and work with them rather than against them as Bush has done. The last 8 years have left a bad taste in my mouth.
You can bet your bottom dollar I want Obama to be pro-life (and who knows, maybe one day he'll have a change of heart), but let's face it, unfortunately it is still a legal practice after 8 years of having a Pro-Life President. As I've said before, even if a candidate is pro-life but sucks at everything else, that doesn't mean they're going to get my vote.

Re: President Obama!!!
Cincy, that does surprise me, and while Obama has his issues, he was clearly the best man to win. I admire your ability to not vote based on the hot button issues while forsaking the whole. I have changed my stance on abortion (mostly because of 5 years of postings here), my issues with the staunch pro-life agenda is that they aren't willing to see the gray areas of a very complex issue...
Cheers for making the right vote... and for helping Indiana be a blue state for the first time in 44 years!

That is pretty rude if I am correct in my understanding as a reference to 9/11... whats the deal?

Nah, no outrage, just an observation. I really couldn't care. It was a giant douche versus a turd sandwich. The election is over and I look forward to bashing osu, michigan, patriots, etc.

Uh, no. It's a reference to how many times McCain crashed planes while he was in the military. http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/did_mccain_crash_five_planes_did_he.html

Oprah: 'I Haven't Seen This Sense of Unity Since 9/11,' Now We're 'Together in Name of Hope'
OBAMA: 62,443,218
MCCAIN: 55,386,310
Doesn't appear to be unity. Who this "we're" she's talking about?

I am certainly not a fan of Oprah and thing she leans to the dramatic, especially when it comes to these types of things. However, 7 million people is a lot of frigging people... So the unity is sitting next to the republican's sour grapes in the corner...
Seriously, LTRT, Oprah is full of shit. However, each of us as individuals can choose to be divisive or not.

obama is president-elect of the united states of america. however, northeast indiana, the paradigm of booger-eating conservatism, goes for mccain. seriously, what's wrong with these fucking hilljacks? they must want to be left behind as progressive america moves forward. ne indiana, once again you have embarrassed yourself. get a fucking clue already.

Excellent statement.
At least there will be a lot of cheap whine to sustain them through until 2016.

So what? I respect anybody that got out and voted for whichever candidate they wanted for president. It is everyone's right who is at least 18 you know. So NE Indiana didn't go the way you wanted.
