BAKER ST Restaurant Review
Ok here is a view of Baker St. Restaurant.
My wife and I decided to try out the new Baker St. Restaurant last night we called and asked for a reservation @ 7:30, if you look at the website, (which is very hip) it has whats called opentable opentable.com is a great way to go into a restaurant tables and see whats available at what hour or what day you want to go and eat. click on it and you will see what I'm talking about
We sat at the bar because we knew the bartender there he is very good and gives great service
We were greeted nicely when we came in and I noticed the great lighting not bright but dim and plenty of light, I hate bright places I feel like I'm on stage when I walk into a bright place and if I don't have my guitar its worthless
We were surprised at the wine list with a great selection and also they had a bar app menu plus the regular menu.
We ordered the Blackened Fresh Jumbo Scallops
Served with spring mix tossed with sweet and sour dressing with bleu cheese and walnuts.
and I tell you the scallops were HUGE
and suckulent by all means!
We ordered a Onion Ring and if you like onion rings you have to try them.
We also ordered Sashimi Tuna
Sesame crusted, seared medium rare served atop seaweed salad, accompanied by wasabi, ginger, siracha and soy sauce.
It was very good and prepared the way its meant to be served!
They had some warm bread that was worth trying also try the pretzel bread its great with beer.
Did I mention beer? They have sample's for you affecions of beer they have a great selection there
I was really impressed with the dining room, I made a point of checking out the bathrooms and the rest of the dining room and I was really impressed with the building and the decor.
My wife and I will be going back to try more great selections off that menu.
Looks like Baker St. has made a nice grand entrance to the Fort eating establishments it will be interesting to watch what they do next..
Oh the bartenter's name JC try him for great service and and great time while your there

Sounds like you had a overall nice experience, but how was the service. I think I remember some chatter after the place opened that service was below par. Alot of places can be that way when they first open up, then after the kinks, quirks and complaints get hammered thru, things smooth out and everybody's happy.

Pet peeve?
I love asparagus sauteed with a little butter and crushed garlic... It's one of my favorite side dishes to make.

I wouldn't call it a pet-peeve. Just a particular food that I don't like and will never force my kids to eat.meta4 wrote:Cincy Fan 44 wrote:Personally, I despise asparagus. Nothing but a vile weed!

My boys are probably the pickiest eaters I know, or have ever met. My daughter will try most things if I make them, or if she's helping me cook. She has the most adventurous palate of the three.
Some things she'll eat that the boys wont: chicken, hamburger, steak, ham, asparagus, and peas.
I plan to introduce them to every food, within reason. I haven't done brussel sprouts or spinach with her yet.

Hey if my kids want to try asparagus, great, but I'm not going to force them too.

And I bet your mom never made you to eat all of your peas either.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Just my opinion, but asparagus is one of my favorites veggies.

Not really. There's another veggie I'm not fond of. I'll eat them if they're mixed in with mashed potaters, but if they're by themselves, I have a hard time with them.
