American Idol -- 8th Season
Anyone else watching? I really like Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert, plus the woman with the pink hair.

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
My wife watches it, so I see bits and pieces, but I don't really follow it. I did find this article interesting though.

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
I'm trying to watch as much as I can. Not really a big fan of the 4th judge this season, but I'm sure I'll adjust. Danny & Adam are indeed good, but Lil Rounds has some pipes!!!

Who?
Simon did post one of the best lap times on "Top Gear". That's about the only show I've seen him on.

Yeah, me, too. I don't bother watching the auditions, although my hub does.

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
I might be able to miss this entire season.... I swear reality television is imploding... kudos for the mention of Top Gear, easily in the top 5 of 'American' television shows.... "American" in the sense that it's shown on BBC America... pure unadulterated comedy.

Too funny Aggie ... yea I still watch it. Adam Lambert is EXCELLENT, Danny Gokie is going to sell albumns, so is Lil Rounds and My favorite is the Justin Timberlake look alike.
The blind kid has to go ... as well as the fake brick red head girl.

Yeah, I think blind guy is overrated. He has a good voice, not a great one.

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
I thought Carrie Underwood's duet with Randy Travis ("I Told You So") was top notch! Probably one of the best performances I've seen on Idol...ever!
Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
I watched a bit of a show called The Soup and they showed Randy's eye movements to one guy after he was done singing and Randy was giving him feedback.
Creepy!!! LOL.

Agree. I am a huge Randy Travis fan, although that particular song has never been one of my favorites. But the duet is beautiful. I even heard it on the radio the other day.
I'm glad Megan Joy is gone - she was cute, but didn't live up to her potential. I see her singing bluesy-type songs, and maybe she just doesn't like that type of music....

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
Down to just the guys now. Here's hoping that Adam somehow makes the finals. I don't usually like his song choices, but there is no doubt the guy can sing.
Any predictions out there for the final?

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
I think the final 2 will be Danny & Adam, with Adam winning. I think he has been the most original singer they've had this year and deserves to win. Time will tell.
Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
I am concerned the finals will be Chris (Kris?) and Danny - how bland. They both have good voices, but not enough personality.
In fact, that's what I'm predicting -- Adam will be voted out. My favorites usually tank when there are only 3 left -- Elliot Yamin, Melinda what's-her-name. (Doolittle?)

I know y'all will be surprised but I am no Adam Lambert fan ... I don't care for his theatrics or his screaming voice ... I think Chris (Kris) Allen is my favorite left if I HAD to buy a CD of one of their CDs with all original songs on them.

Yippee! just the final I wanted, although didn't expect. I loved Kris's rendition of Heartless, but then again, should admit I think that's the first time I've heard that song.

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
All but over but handing the trophy to Adam.
Danny tried to much to get out of the comfort zone. Chris just doesn't have it beyond to me. Would have done well in the 40's

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
So who is going to win? Still saying it will be Adam; although except for mad world the songs sucked tonight.
Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
You know, I thought Kris was better last night, which surprises me. I think he might actually win it.

You probably are correct, I would guess Kris' voting block will be more loyal and will turn out to vote where Adam is hoping the tide takes him to the tidal. That final song written by Kara SUCKED.

Re: American Idol -- 8th Season
Gotta say I'm somewhat surprised Kris won. I still think Adam is better though. Time will tell which one has a better career...
