No, she completely lost her head and objectivity, became drawn into their frenzy. I would say "bad her" instead of "bad CNN" but, you know... it's the network so just like the Verizon commercials, they all go along don't they?

Not the smartest reporter in the cookie jar. I love the question if you're not an organized group how did you find out about it
Wonder how the reporter found out about it....

Re: Chicago Tax Day Tea Party
Were any other news networks covering this Chicago Tea Party?
After watching the clip again, I'm wondering, where exactly is this state of "Lincoln" that supposedly gets 50 Billion dollars. I want to know why our tax revenue is going to (previously) unknown states.

From the first episode on I've always thought she was plotting with the terrorists. Not that has anything to do with her personal character. Frankly the liberal comments we've seen over the last few days in regards to the various tea parties speak for themselves. They really can't be defended.
I wonder if liberals realize their children and grand-children are going to have their taxes jacked WAY UP to pay for all this "fluff" spending. Have fun paying $3.00 for a loaf of bread in the near future.

Re: Chicago Tax Day Tea Party
from all the interviews and observations across ALL the news media the last week it seems the teabagging is not really about money. its an excuse for the pro-illegal abortion, pro-non-separation of church, pro-personal assault rifle ownership, pro-continue on the same financial path that got us here, AND anti-healthcare for all, anti social security income, anti disability income, anti food stamps, anti regulation of any sort, anti social aid to adults and children and other victims of violence, anti equal marriage rights, anti obama to get together and mourn their loss of power.

Really? Show me some sources. I want to see the interviews where someone at one of these events says it's all about food stamps or equal marriage rights or anything you mentioned. Heck, let's just go back and say those anti war protesters during the Bush administration weren't really concerned with the war. It was all an excuse for the pro abortion, anti Christian etc. to mourn their loss of power.floridafun wrote:from all the interviews and observations across ALL the news media the last week it seems the teabagging is not really about money. its an excuse for the pro-illegal abortion, pro-non-separation of church, pro-personal assault rifle ownership, pro-continue on the same financial path that got us here, AND anti-healthcare for all, anti social security income, anti disability income, anti food stamps, anti regulation of any sort, anti social aid to adults and children and other victims of violence, anti equal marriage rights, anti obama to get together and mourn their loss of power.

Re: Chicago Tax Day Tea Party
Well, here's an article from the usually Left-Leaning Dayton Daily News (they've supported the Dem Pres Candidate the past several elections)
http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/dayton-news/thousands-are-downtown-for-tea-party-82138.html
Other than that, they must have left out the anti-abortion quotes, the racists' comments, and the anti-gays in the military comments too. I would think if there was any of that, the Dayton Democratic News, er, the Dayton Daily News would have been on that like Donkey Kong.
http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/dayton-news/thousands-are-downtown-for-tea-party-82138.html
I do question a little the quote from the guy who said he sold his business and paid $1 Million in taxes. I wish the reporter would have asked how much he sold it for, what kind of business, etc...DAYTON — A crowd believed to be a few thousand has gathered downtown on Tax Day 2009 for the Dayton Tea Party on Courthouse Square.
The event going on this evening, Wednesday, April 15, was created in protest of what organizers call “runaway government spending.”
Rob Scott, one of the organizers, said petitions would be circulated in the crowd, calling for the repeal of economic stimulus funding or for governments agencies to refuse to accept stimulus funding.
People in the crowd offered their take on the event and its intended message.
“People are getting the same treatment as the Indian people,” Ricky Slow Elk, an American Indian from Ohio, said in answer to why he came out.
Bill Barga, of Coldwater, said he just sold a business he started and paid about $1 million in taxes.
He carried a sign that read, “Pelosi adopt me” in reference to U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California.
“I’m upset with our entire system,” Barga said. “It’s becoming more socialist with the federal government running things, and the state has no control.”
Darla Williamson of Piqua brought a sign that read, “Free markets not freeloaders.” She said the sign refers to people who don’t want to work and that the government has to bail out.
“What we’re doing right now is not the solution,” she said referring to the government bailout of businesses.
According to event organizers, about 7,500 people signed up to attend the event that is to run from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring speech making and musical entertainment.
About 2,000 attended a similar event — modeled after the Boston Tea Party tax protest of 1773 — held in Cincinnati’s Fountain Square this afternoon.
Dayton police said if the crowd swells as anticipated, Main Street in front of Courthouse Square would be closed temporarily.
Scott, the event co-organizer, said the petitions will be mailed to city commissions, city councils, township boards of trustees, as well as state and federal legislators.
The movement will continue after this evening’s event, with the Marshall Tea Plan, Scott said. People of like minds are being asked to volunteer to attend local government and school board meetings to monitor spending.
The goal is to draw attention to the need for fiscal restraint, support for the free market and small businesses, and respect for the U.S. Constitution, Scott said.
Other than that, they must have left out the anti-abortion quotes, the racists' comments, and the anti-gays in the military comments too. I would think if there was any of that, the Dayton Democratic News, er, the Dayton Daily News would have been on that like Donkey Kong.

No gay Indians allowed in the military?
It's free speech... whatever... I dont happen to agree with much of it, aside from paying too much in taxes, who wont agree with that? I do think that the actual Boston tea party in 1773 is similar to these events in name only... I would prefer that people dont sleep by their rights but rather choose to exercise them...
