The Grand Old Party of Tenn.
I don't think any of our Obama haters will go on record as saying they endorse this type of cartoon from a state party but we all know better ...

No kidding... I would write my passwords down on a piece of paper in my desk drawer so I could blame the janitor.... Seriously though... are there really people that find this joke funny? "And get this... his skin is dark!!!!!" I just dont see that as an Internet forward worthy joke...

What kind of trouble do you envision? Definitely classless, but this was sent by by an administrative assistant, not a state senator. And this is Tennessee we're talking about.Pez wrote:Just the article and the sh** storm of trouble this is going to stir...

I guess I had thought that since it was on CNN it would be like Imus and the N.H.H.'s... apparently I'm missing the mark... NPR isnt talking about it, but it's the topic they avoid (to my knowledge they never reported on Miss California)...

questioning any of his policies is one thing.
questioning simply to be an active participant in the inflammatory party of no is a bit different imho. no matter what he would implement, he is damned if he does and damned if he doesnt on totally everything to the haters.
ya know like the example of some criticizing him for releasing the report bush initiated which looked at potential problems in our country from extremist left AND right wingers. but all i heard here and on faux and morning joe was mockery of obama and the dhs lead for their stupidity because THE LIBS think right wingers are someone to be monitored. ooooo the drama! the sensible and calm right side decried mch of the incindary idiocy..and were abruptly informed they will receive no support from the gop in the next election. then that segue'd into the teabaggers and worldnutdaily bragging they are the right wingers the obama left hate. even created their special new "i am a right wing extremist" id cards..how cool was that!! then after the killings of the abortion doctor, the shooting at the holocost museum and the RECENT MUSLIM CONVERT murder of the recruiters, all the wingnut tv and radio commentators start trying to distance themselves and saying these folks follow the lib violence encouragement and in no way do any of them incite...
and check out the vids in the internets of the 14 protesters at lettermans studio hoping to get him fired (on behalf of sarah and mothers everywhere, because of his apparent attempt to molest young girls?) are shouting he is the parent of a bastard child (would it be ok to say the same of bristol?) and leno is much better (altho leno joked about bristol and john edwards when the edwards affair broke..but that was ok) and yelling SOCIALISTS and CLOSE OUR BORDERS.
so if you or anyone here find this mental mindset shoe fits you or doesnt thats fine for you..i am laughing out loud at beck for his sudden commentary that he just has a few policy issue differences with obama and has NEVER incited anything. now there is a glowing example of a right wing nut job drowning in de nile.

South Carolina GOP activist and former chairman of the state elections commission Rusty DePass has apologized for saying a gorilla that escaped from a zoo was an "ancestor" of Michelle Obama.
The controversy started when FITSNews, a local politics Website, obtained a screengrab of DePass's comment on Facebook.
After an aide to state Attorney General Henry McMaster detailed the escape of the gorilla from Columbia's Riverbanks Zoo, DePass responded with a comment: "I'm sure it's just one of Michelle's ancestors -...

Do you and Bman really want to go down this path? Because I can certainly go back in time and find some comments and cartoons made about Condaleeza Rice that were as bad if not worse. Face it. There are individuals on both sides who think jokes about minorities are funny.floridafun wrote:Bman wrote:I don't think any of our Obama haters will go on record as saying they endorse this type of cartoon from a state party but we all know better ...

the big difference being that todays american political landscape has changed dramatically from what it has previously been. yet the abundant pack mentality of the far right to proudly base all their rhetorical fear-mongering hatred of smears and untruths which is much harder to get away with, considering how the info highway has transformed how we can find actual facts and contradictions. its kinda telling that some come back with "i know we are but what are you?" rather than actually to discuss and acknowledge todays phoenonomon. it continues to be a shameful failure for quite a lot of the higher up and very public right. and i dont see how you think jumping into your magical time machine to find some old events prior to continuous youtube or net-sourced debunking from any politician can equate to where america is right now.

I guess I'm naive... I just cant get over the notion that people find this funny... It would be no different than looking at someone with a learning disability and claiming it was one of Dubya's ancestors...
