Wow only 50 Billion, that is nothing. Maybe they can use some of the stimulus funds already approved, you know the dollars for research that really don't stimulate nothing to close the gap. After all research is research right? Because we would be stupid to think all of our answers to our problems on earth are here on earth.

orrr the real reason..they cant fool nearly as many people with todays technology, like they did in the first movie and its sequels
