Re: Conservative America
So if guns were not available they would have just found another way. Then you would say we need a permit to have a kitchen knife or scissors.
Re: Conservative America
Dang this thread is getting more morbid the longer Bman tries to make a point. I mean "turn in my Liberal card" is a bit over the top for disagreeing in a discussion about conservative America.
Maybe I deserve that for reading ONE article in the NRA magazine...

Surgically destroying the Constitution, one fear-mongered knee jerk at a time IS extremely morbid.

Re: Conservative America
I know exactly two persons personally injured by a firearm domestically. The first was accidental and terminal. The second was self-inflicted and terminal. Very sad both cases.

Re: Conservative America
If Congress ever does pass a law that takes away people's guns, maybe they can send Bman to Montana to gather them up.

Anti-RNC activist and Austin resident Bradley Crowder pleaded guilty to building Molotov cocktails in federal court yesterday, reports St. Paul's Pioneer
Bradley Neal Crowder, 23, of Austin, Texas, admitted in court that he helped build the firebombs, but he didn't say — nor did prosecutors ask — what he intended to use them for. He also said that his co-defendant, David McKay, was part of the scheme.
Crowder and McKay were scheduled to go on trial Jan. 26 for allegedly possessing the Molotov cocktails during the convention in St. Paul in September. The two men were part of a group of protesters who came to Minnesota from Texas to be part of the demonstrations and the convention.
The U.S. attorney's office claims the two men built the Molotov cocktails because they were angry that police had seized a trailer filled with riot shields they'd built and hauled to Minnesota. They were allegedly going to use the firebombs on law enforcement cars parked in a lot near Xcel Energy Center, the convention site.

So if these guys aren't anti-RNC, what are they? The Welcoming Committee? Patriots? Freedom Fighters? Bman I 'think' if they showed up at anything Liberal/Democrat with all of this gear we'd hear you calling them every name in the book.
Crowder was indicted along with a second defendant, David Guy McKay, 22, Austin, Texas. Following a mistrial in February, McKay pleaded guilty to three firearms charges on March 17, and is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Davis on May 21.
According to trial testimony, the FBI in Texas began investigating the group, labeled by law enforcement as the Austin Affinity Group, in February 2008. McKay and Crowder were members of the group.
On Aug. 28, Crowder and other members of the Austin Affinity Group traveled from Austin, Texas, to Minnesota. The group brought a rental trailer with them that contained 35 riot shields, made from stolen traffic barrels. The intended use of the shields was to help demonstrators block streets near the Xcel Energy Center in order to prevent convention delegates from safely reaching the convention. St. Paul Police seized these shields on Aug. 31.

Re: Conservative America
So Bman, is the guy anti-RNC or not? Or was that author that Markwes quoted just throwing labels around?

i found sites where the fbi says they are part of an anarchist group. i looked at a number of sites and found 0 suggestion they were dem supporters in any way. have you got a source other than your assumption if it was anti repubs it had to be dems? i am sure they consider themselves patriots and freedom fighters tho.
seriously if there was a dem connection it would be well noted.

Re: Conservative America
Does it matter? I don't recall anyone saying there was a dem connection. Maybe there was, maybe not. The point is what they are not.floridafun wrote:Cincy Fan 44 wrote:
