Re: RIP: Patrick Swayze
I just heard a few minutes ago. I'm surprised how saddened I am. I knew he wasn't well, just had been hoping for a better outcome for him and his family. Think I might just dig out Dirty Dancing soon. First movie I remember seeing him in.

Dirty Dancing and Ghost? That almost cost you your Manly Men membership. Having Roadhouse at #1 makes up for it though.Cincy Fan 44 wrote:Just heard he died. May have to rent one of his movies this week.

One movie that was a little quirky but I really liked was Point Break. My most enjoyable moment though has to be the SNL skit where he and Chris Farley were competing for the last Chippendale's spot. One of my favorite SNL skits ever.

I've never seen the Outsiders. Actually the only Swazee movies I've seen (I think) are Dirty Dancing, Point Break and Ghost. Seems like there should be more.

1. Ghost
2. To Wong Fu With Love, Julie Newmar. Horrible title, mediocre movie, but fun to watch.

Red Dawn was pretty good. I have to say I catch it when it is on TV.
Re: RIP: Patrick Swayze
I can't say I remember seeing any of those movies listed in their entirety.
Then again, I am not too much of a movie buff.
My friend sent me this at work.
I hope Kanye doesn't show up to Patrick Swayze's funeral. " I'll let you get back to your funeral in a minute...but Michael Jackson had the best death of the year. just sayinnn ".

Re: RIP: Patrick Swayze
The Outsiders was an excellent book (read it for a class in HS) and was a pretty good movie...
Something that I thought of today about Patrick, "he lived a cowboy life and died a cowboy death"
meaning he lived as a rough and tough man and died a rough and tough death.

I have not seen it but yeah, think of what kind of budget a movie studio would have to have these days to get that cast.meta4 wrote:#1 The Outsiders (I can't believe nobody mentioned this one. I read that book when in HS. WOW,check the cast lineup!)

Remember this movie. It's a great tool when playing "6 degrees of Kevin Bacon"
