Let's just say I believe this to be a whole lot more believable.

Unemployment actually at 9.9%

I find the various unemployment figures to be confusing... non-farm, seasonally adjusted included the self-employed, doesnt include contractors, includes people who are unemployed and have stopped looking, started looking etc etc etc...

Looking at the smaller pictures, retail spending is up, manufacturing jobs have ticked up... it's getting better, agonizingly... slowly... getiing... better.

Verizon workers come back off of a strike and these are counted as gains... Oh well, a while back they cheered 50k MickeyD's jobs.
