Leadership vacuum?
Where is the leadership in conservative ideology these days? Who has it right? What will the late 20th and early 21st centuries be remembered for politically?
I personally dont see any effective leadership in conservative or liberal ideology these days. I see a potential leader in Washington in Obama, but I dont see the will On the part of liberals to follow. My only conclusion is that congress is broken, and will remain broken.
I think that conservatives will gain majority control of both houses by 2012. I think also that by the time 2012 is here the economy will be flourishing again, and Obama will have enough political capital to propel him to a second term.

Actually I don't know if it is ineffective leadership but just too many personal agendas. It is really a sad state when moderates of either party feel they are not welcomed by there own parties. And sometimes it is not the parties that don't welcome them but the political commentators. Rush and Hannity on the right and Ed Schultz and Keith Oberman on the left.
I don't see the Dems losing the Senate. However, I believe Harry Reid will be gone. I won't shed a tear seeing Peloski out of the Speakers seat.
I really don't see the unemployment rate improving much by the end of Obama's first term. Thinking it will still be between 8 & 8.5 %. You can have all the 4-6% growth in you want but if consumer confidence doesn't improve (and it won't until unemployment gets to 6%) he will have a tough time. And if he forces health care down the peoples throat he won't. Now if he can come up with a health care bill that gets at least 50% of the repubs approving it and unemployment is heading towards 7% then he has a chance for a 2nd term.
