Hawaii Tsunami Warnings
A lot of the msm surrounding the potential tsunami wave hitting hawaii has suggested that it was somewhat overblown and unnecessary.
I was downtown bailing my buddy out of jail (long story) and had 30 mins to kill at Pint & Slice. At this point CNN was showing the completely deserted beaches in hawaii and suggesting that the 50th's state's doom was imminent, then after the wave failed to materialize they seem to jump on the bandwagon that the warnings were much ado about nothing.
Anyone have an opinion? Damned if you do, damned if you dont?

Considering the 'potential', I'd say the warning served its purpose, but we do live in a sensation media frenzy world now so I'd agree that their coverage was overblown. The camera's positioned in waiting killed the viewing for me.

Ah man, sux arse... he is a truck driver, had parked his semi in a public lot, visited some friends and went to a bar... they brough him back, and while driving his semi back to his hotel, he did some showing off in the parking lot snow... the cop saw this and stopped him... made him blow an he blew 0.078... the guy wasnt saavy enough to realize that the cop would have had to arrest him at that point in order to keep him from leaving. The cops said, lets go to the station and test again there, if you are clean there you are free to go... at the station he blew 0.08...
He's a truck driver, not like he can bike to work.
