Armenian Genocide
This drives me absolutely crazy... Everyone knows that what the turks did to the Armenians in 1915 was horrific, terrible mass-murder... Why do we jeopardize our relations with an extraordinarily key ally (on of the few I might add) in the region for the sake of something that happened 95 years ago. The details of this are not in doubt, the fact that the term "genocide" is not used is really material now?

The right hand seriously doesnt know what the left is doing... if we ever have a chance to get troops out of the middle east, Washington sure is not acting Like It.

Re: Armenian Genocide
I'm not sure why we have to do this. All countries have things in there past that they are not happy about now (even the U.S.). It is history and that is all it should be is history. Hopefully we learn from our history and there history so not to have it happen again.
Re: Armenian Genocide
I completely agree that it's not necessary. On the other side of the coin, if the Turkish government makes a big deal out of it, they need to get a life too.

Re: Armenian Genocide
I suppose the Turkisk gov't could come up with something along the lines of what we Americans did to the Indians over the years if they're looking to get even with us...
