Muslim Day at Six Flags on (gasp) 9/12

Take a look at the link and the event that is planned for 9/12...Muslim Day. Are you kidding me? Who's the insensitive bastard who thought this was a good idea? I don't mind Muslims having "their day" necessarily, but come on, on 9/12? The day after the anniversary of that day Democrats hate to have brought up. Why don't we just go ahead and have a national holiday for Lee Harvey Oswald while we're at it.

It's very commendable that Six Flags wants to recognize the other faiths in this great country of ours.

But when do you think they'll have a Christian family day, or Catholic family day or Hindu family day or Buddist family day...get the point?

That's just peachy. And I noticed there is an event on 9/11 itself. Having something labeled a "festival" on 9/11 is pretty insensitive too.

Must have wanted to get it in before the start of Ramadan in September. After all what good would the day be if they held it during there fasting period. There goes the concession profits.

Maybe it's so they can get a break from those who broadly paint Muslims as terrorists... I imagine that time has to be about the worst to be Muslim.

Couldn't help but notice, though, that they did not put Catholics day on the same date as Guy Fawkes Night.

Would you be outraged if there was a festival scheduled for Dec. 7? (I think that is the day Pearl Habor was attacked).
