I bought all of my Christmas presents for this year on Monday on my lunch break. My retail spending definitely spiked that day.

If people are paying cash, that's great. If they are charging and will pay it off that's great as well. But you have to wonder if people are continuing to fall for the traps of marketing just to fulfill their instant gratification desires.
