Colts OL (10!)
k... Irish may know this already, but I've got people frothing at the mouth a bit on my colts board by suggesting that we shop Dallas Clark in order to fix the OL. It's awesome. Some of the guys over there really know their sh**.
How do the Colts get a running game in the next two years? Manning isn't getting any younger, and right now the Colts are built for him to throw a bajillion passes, and it's not working. Sure the Colts were pretty unlucky with the Ugoh pick, but thats done and over.
I want to get a new LT and move CJ to guard.

Re: Colts OL (10!)
On this one, I have to say you are absolutely batshit crazy. The most important players to the Colts team right now, mostly in order are:
1. Peyton Manning
2. Dwight Freeney
3. Gary Bracket
4. Robert Mathis
5. Dallas Clark
6. Jeff Saturday
Without any of these guys the team suffers considerably. See the three game losing streak and Peyton throwing to the wrong color shirts. Here's my take. The team is not in too bad of shape. The won the division, again...they made the playoffs, again...they won 10 or more games, again... However, it is frustrating that there isn't more than one Super Bowl win in the last 10 years with this talent.
Aside from getting rid of Caldwell, I actually believe there doesn't need to be too much shake up. I would like to see one veteran OL (any position) added to the roster as a solid starter. I'd also like to see the first or second round pick, or both, go to the OL as well. Look at all of the injuries last season. Those guys are all coming back and will be healthy at least for the first part of the season. Besides the OL, I would like the team to use all of their draft picks on defense. They need another safety, need a defensive tackle, possibly a corner back. I don't think the Colts are as thin at CB as some others do. And I think the LB's as a team are as strong as they have been in many years. This doesnt say that they are necessarily the best in the NFL, but good enough imo.

You bunch of spoiled Colts fans...ever consider us long suffering Bengals fans? You're frustrated by only one Super Bowl win in 10 years? Try 2 winning SEASONS out of the last 20!

I can deal with batshit crazy... Peyton + Dallas > (Peyton + Running Game) - Dallas?
Ugoh really sh** the bed for us. A top 10 running game and the colts would be complete unstoppable.
Yea, opposing defenses have to game plan for Dallas Clark... which is made pretty easy by the fact that they don't have to game plan for the run.

Re: Colts OL (10!)
I understand a strong running game would be great. But this team doesn't need to make large personel changes to accomplish that. They win 10+ games every year. Super Bowl runner-up last year. They are not a long way away from another championship team. I think one free agent OL starter and a rookie OL would do the trick, good enough anyway.

Re: Colts OL (10!)
Cedric Benson is a Free Agent...he would probably elevate the Colts running quite nicely. He's been good for the Bengals the past 3 years...
Re: Colts OL (10!)
I would be pissed if the Colts sign a free agent running back (that isn't named Dominic Rhodes) instead of an OL or DT.
