Ethiopia Muslims

Thousands of Christians have been forced to flee their homes in Western Ethiopia after Muslim extremists set fire to roughly 50 churches and dozens of Christian homes.

I try to have an open mind, but really...

those damn dirty muslims!

There's the bit about picketing soldiers funerals because they think God hates fags. Oh, and shooting the abortion doctor in church in front of his family...

I know where you are coming from, it's just very important that we understand that the vast majority of Christians, muslims, jews should not be generalized by their extremes. Think about the catholic church... its a venerable institution that has led millions of millions along their journeys of faith. However because a very very small amount of priests and other officials have been exposed as pedophiles, well... you know the rest of this story.

I was looking at it more from a religious tolerance viewpoint. But I get your point - extremism is extremism. Even then, put it into perspective. We are talking about pretty much one screwed up family picketing funerals and one abortion doctor killed (by one individual I presume?) versus 3000 to 10000 Christians displaced, injured, etc. by what I'm assuming is a group effort (130 suspects arrested). Can you imagine if it was the other way around? This isn't a one-off either. A couple months back I heard firsthand from a Catholic in another highly Muslim country. Their church is boarded up and parishiners have to be escorted in through small groups for safety. So that's what I mean about trying to have an open mind, because I know there are peaceful members of all groups, but...
