Harvey Korman Dead
Sad. I remember him best in the Carol Burnett show. A man that truly loved his job.

You know, I just realized that most of you on this Board are young enough you probably don't remember the Carol Burnett show when it was originally on. Funny stuff.

I loved him and Tim on Carol's show... the dentist scene was classic!! He and Tim were always trying to crack each other up and about 80% of the time Tim won, Harvey just couldn't keep a straight face.

Amen to that... Loved that show... everything about it even when Carol let the ppl ask her questions. some were so freakin funny.... The most classic show to me is the "Gone with the Wind" one, where she had a curtain and said, I saw it in the window and just had to have it!!!!

Yup, you got me on that one. I was born in the mid 70s, and have only seen clips of the show. I'm pretty sure I've seen the dentist scene. It's been awhile though.Aggie Transplant wrote:You know, I just realized that most of you on this Board are young enough you probably don't remember the Carol Burnett show when it was originally on. I've never heard of the Carol Burnett show before this morning as I was watching the news. I have watched Blazing Saddles though.

The Carol Burnett Show might be my all-time favorite. You could genuinely tell they were having fun. I was rolling in one skit where Tim played the old guy who didn't move very fast working at a store and Harvey was an impatient customer needing something.

Re: Harvey Korman Dead
Tangent...I wonder if that's where Night Court got the idea for an episode in which John Larroquette's character (Dan Fielding) was in a rush (probably for a hot date), and the last client he represents comes in in plenty of time, except he suffers from "Tourtise Nervosa." One of the funniest scenes I remember from that show.Markwes wrote:The Carol Burnett Show might be my all-time favorite. You could genuinely tell they were having fun. Oh yeah, Night Court. I don't recall that particular episode but that was a great show. I always tried to figure out how it ever got off the ground though. "We have this idea for a new comedy about a judge who performs magic tricks in the courtroom" doesn't seem like it would sell to TV executives!
