Wiener Dog Nationals
Fleek do you have Newman's first race time yet? I think I am going down for some of the races, can't stand there all afternoon watching dogs race for hours on end in the sun but would like to see Newman win a few.
Go Newman!!!! Hopefully he runs his little balls off, or are they gone already?

His balls are still there...for now. He'll be getting neutered in the coming weeks, though.
As for race times...I have no idea. They fill the bracket in according to order of registration. I'll probably get therre around 1pm'ish so he'll more than likely be somewhere towards the middle of the bracket. I'd say he'll race sometime between 2pm and 3pm.

What are Newman's odds in Vegas baby? I think I am going to wager my 401K on Newman!

Fleek,
Watch out for "Reba" she'll probably be the smallest dog out there. A guy I work with (remember I just started here) is entering her tomorrow. He won't know me if you ask him but I overheard he will be there.

He may be S.O.L if he's waiting until tomorrow to enter her. I'm not sure how it's going to be this year, but 2 years ago, they had alternates after the first bracket was full. Last year, I believe they ran 2 full brackets (64 dogs each) so if that's the case, he'll probably be alright. But again, I'm not sure how they're doing things this year.

Re: Wiener Dog Nationals
I wouldn't be surprised if the winner this year is a 3-peat winner. The dog that's won the past 2 years is owned by a girl I went to school with. Quick little bastard...

No tip needed. I'm well aware based on previous experiences.

Ah, you beat me to it. I was going to ask Fleek if his wiener was a winner...LTRT wrote:So Fleek, did you win the world championship of weiner dog races?

Re: Wiener Dog Nationals
Newman won his first 2 races and advanced to the Sweet 16, where he lost.
So he was 2-1 on the day. Not bad.
It's amazing how serious some people take these races, though. People were saying "it's rigged" and "it's fixed" because the dog that won (for the 3rd year in a row) supposedly got beat twice but was called the winner both times.
I personally don't care. I sure as hell wouldn't be using that doggie stroller* they were giving away, anyways.
* Dumbest thing ever.
