Hehe... I just popped on here to post about this. Yea, this is very interesting stuff. The fact that 4 democrats (including pelosi and reid) approved it is somewhat telling also. $400 million dollars to destabilizae Iran, whilst we are characterizing Iran as a force destabilizing Iraq.

It frightens me what this administration is capable of. The Presidential finding to request authorization included the phrase "defensively lethal activities..."

And even after this language, a 400 million dollar disbursement without question or reservation.

.... on top of that, not sure if you hear this as well, but I'm listening on FM radio and the program has cut out now 3x since 1:30pm for about 60 seconds each time... just static.

I didnt hear that... I'm listening to it via nipr.fm... the audio cuts out for a few second now and then, but it picks up where it left off.

What I'm scratching my head about is why anyone even knows about this...

Articles like this: http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/05/bush_authorizes.html

Which use language like:
"The CIA has received secret presidential approval to mount a covert "black" operation to destabilize the Iranian government, current and former officials in the intelligence community tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com."

Make me wonder who in our government is actually thinking... and I'm sure the plausible answer is Propaganda sometimes 'feels' like this. But in the sense that it is a propaganda campaign, I am puzzled how it would work if our enemy knows we're trying to screw with them...

AND contrary to as Pez mentioned above, "defensively lethal" is double-spoken this way:
The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the subject, say President Bush has signed a "nonlethal presidential finding" that puts into motion a CIA plan that reportedly includes a coordinated campaign of propaganda, disinformation and manipulation of Iran's currency and international financial transactions.

Funny, makes me think the Austrians are screwing with our heads regarding Schwartenegger. It's only a matter of time before he's able to change the US Constitution that says you have to be born in the US to be president, then he'll get elected. At that point, the Austrians will make their long-awaited move and take over our country... Laughing

sen kyle sponsored it. leiberman, cole, alexander, ensign, graham, corker, thune and mccain co-sponsored it.

this was the one last sept hillary went back to dc to vote for, that we were made well aware thru the media was a basic consent the same as was consented to as we approached war with iraq.
