Looks like getting rid of the Son of Perdition from their team name this year has done wonders for the former Devil Rays. "Born" in 1998, they've never had a winning season. Attendance has been low. There was even talk of "contracting" them a few years ago. But this year, they dropped the Devil from their name and "Shazam!"...they have baseball's best record halfway through the season, even beating the Red Sox in 3 straight this week. Coincidence? Hmmmm...

There's still a 2nd half to the season. Though I'd like to see them win the division, or even make the playoffs, I don't know if they can keep it up...
