Plane Crash
I was not on the flight, do not kow of anyone who was, but WOW Kudos for the Pilot!!! From what I read, he rocks. If I were in a crashing plane, I would defintely want him at the wheel. God was his co-pilot,that day, sounds like.

No doubt...and the angels were his wings! Great, great job by the pilot and crew. Simply amazing to me that no one died. Just simply amazing!iberlingirl wrote:I was not on the flight, do not kow of anyone who was, but WOW Kudos for the Pilot!!! From what I read, he rocks. Re: Plane Crash
the thing I liked was he was the last one off the plane and made one final sweep of the plane before he bolted for the cold water of the Hudson River.

Re: Plane Crash
Bman from what I've read so far the pilot walked the plane twice before leaving the plane
Re: Plane Crash
Ok, for a conspiracy theory twist... does anyone think it's just too good to be true? A 5 star landing, immediate response by boats nearby. So much video coverage of the event. NO deaths or even injuries.
c'mon doesn't it make you feel a little better about flying?

I'm still more afraid of our government and the TSA than I am of flying. I just need to get my own damned plane.

So are you saying it was all staged and the people on the plane were out-of-work stunt actors?meta4 wrote:Ok, for a conspiracy theory twist... does anyone think it's just too good to be true? I'm surprised that no one has blamed President Bush yet. After all, it's gotta be his fault, right?

Naw, the passengers were all real. It was just well planned, that's all I'm sayin' and I'm not suggesting anything more... it just seemed within the grasp of ... well... hollywood.

They were trying to, but settled on Global Warming instead.
Global Warming Caused US Airways Plane to Land in Hudson River
By Noel Sheppard | January 17, 2009 - 14:20
Believe it or not, global warming is being cited as one of the reasons a US Airways flight landed in New York's Hudson River on Friday.
Media were considering blaming the incident on the Bush administration until it became apparent that as a result of pilot Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger's heroic efforts, as well as those of his flight crew, there were no fatalities.
With nothing bad to pin on the current President, the good folks at Time magazine found another predictable culprit (h/t Tom Nelson):
While officials use radar and radio collars to track bird populations, habitat destruction and climate change have disrupted migratory patterns.

Good find LTRT. Amazing, simply amazing. Why stop there? Why not blame the Wright Brothers? After all, they're they ones who started this whole flight business anyway!

Heck, I'll sign the petition to build the wall...LOL.
I don't believe in the conspiracy theories about this flight...it's nice to read that everyone made it out alive.
I think it was in 2005 an Air France jet went off the runway in Toronto after landing in bad weather. 309 people were on board, everyone made it out alive, then the plane burst into flames.
