Oil surges on raised demand forecast

Oil prices on Thursday surged to an eight-month high above $73 a barrel after the western countries’ energy watchdog raised its forecast for global oil demand for the first time in almost a year.

Guess I should have put a 's after $80.

Gas up $1 a gallon on Obama's watch
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/mar/25/gas-up-1-on-obamas-watch/

The average price per gallon across the U.S. hit $2.81 this week, according to the Energy Information Administration. That was up from $1.81 the week of Jan. 26, 2009, just after the inauguration, and marks the highest price since Oct. 20, 2008

Oops, bet they forgot about when:

Pelosi on Gas Prices: ‘Record Prices, Record Retirement Packages, and Record Profits’
http://www.house.gov/pelosi/press/releases/April06/GasPrices.html

Tuesday, April 18, 2006
“Democrats have a plan to lower gas prices, taking America in a new direction that works for everyone, not just the few. Our plan would empower the Federal Trade Commission to crack down on price gouging to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices, increase production of alternative fuels, and rescind the billions of dollars in taxpayer subsidies, tax breaks, and royalty relief given to big oil and gas companies.”

By the way, gas was at 2.80/gal when the old broad ran off with her mouth.

In all fairness, the stock market was down around 6,000 or so when he took office...and it's now over 10,000. Is Obama responsible for that? Maybe, maybe not. I highly doubt he's responsible for higher gas prices.

Never did I imply that, point is the hyprocracy from the dems. Why isn't Nancy crying, same situation, different day. My bad...different party in control.

Still nothing as the current price of oil continues to go up and summer driving season is still a couple of months away. Several years ago this was a tragedy and needed immediate attention. While I give credit for opening up the east coast for drilling. It is nice to see other countries not waiting around. Brazil which has done a great job of weaning itself off of foreign oil has found more.

I'm sure Obama had a secret meeting with his Arab buddies and is trying to figure out a way to get their pockets filled with US cash again... Suspect
