AIG for profit? Empty AIG for profit?

We bought AIG at $30 a share, yesterday it went down, but traded at $43. They have announced they will sell it in the spring, hopefully for a profit...

Citigroup was a profit
GM was a profit

Politics aside, I don't think anyone expected any of these to be profitable.

How are you talking profit? That they had a profitable quarter? Or that they paid back gov't money? Because GM still owes the gov't over 35 Billion dollars. Not sure about the other companies you mentioned.
