Good one. We still have our Buckeyes, dammit! It's a proven fact that a state that has this much bad economic news will have their marquee college team win the National Championship in Football the coming season.Markwes wrote:O H I O

Not speaking from any source here, but I would suspect Columbus Ohio to be one of the fastest growing cities in America or one of the most livable.
Some one go google that and prove me wrong. lol

Talk about "fairweather" fans (Bman and Cincy) LOL. They want the glory not the problems.

Columbus is the #1 up and coming tech cities as rated by Forbes. Guess they felt sorry for Ohio since they had so many losers.....

Re: Fastest Dying Cities
If anything, I'd say that nifty little NAFTA deal that William Jefferson Clinton signed had a chilling effect on Ohio's economy. Lots of industrial jobs went elsewhere. H. Ross Perot was right..."That giant sucking sound you hear is the sound of jobs going to Mexico."
Re: Fastest Dying Cities
The big corporations play a big role in arrangements like Nafta. They benefit most from them. The jobs might move however their operating costs are lowered and their profit margins increase. I wonder what system encourages that ?
Let's all say it together..CAPITALISM, hip, hip, Hooray

Oh yeah, Communisim worked out so well, and the socialist are going right down there with them.
Re: Fastest Dying Cities
Scooby my point there wasn't about which system would work better. It is more about the big corporations being handed a card that says "do as you please" and we, the gov't will turn a blind eye to it.
Regardless of which system it is, if there is abuse of power this is the kind of thing you will see.
Oh and this has nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans, in terms of blame.

Capitalism here is America is rapidly becoming synonomous (sp?) with GREED though here in America. Capitalism only works "really" well for a sliver. Does not matter though, this country is sliding in a Theocracy so it won't matter much.
