Weird Fantasy Football
Is it normal for the scores to change so late after the last game?
Up till this morning the last score I had was 104 to 103 against Scooby.
Now it is 103 to 103.
Ruining my goddam fantasy, this is...

Re: Weird Fantasy Football
That means there was an error in the original scoring. If you go to the league page and click on Players and then Stat Corrections for week 14, it shows they took away a point for the defense. Apparently, they were given credit for a sack and then later it was ruled as not a sack.

It looks like it will happen, unless Fred Davis has a huge game for me. Meanwhile, one matchup ended in a tie. How does that get resolved?Pez wrote:heh... any given thursday!!

Re: Weird Fantasy Football
Interesting... a scenario we've not seen before... playoff ties are broken thus:
1. Most touchdowns scored by entire starting roster.
2. Most fantasy points by starting quarterback(s).
3. Most fantasy points by starting defensive team(s).
4. Most fantasy points by starting defensive player(s).
5. Most fantasy points by starting defensive back(s).
6. Most fantasy points by starting defensive linemen.
7. Most fantasy points by starting wide receiver(s).
8. Most fantasy points by starting running back(s).
9. Most fantasy points by starting tight end(s).
10. Most fantasy points by starting kicker(s).
Notes:
* When breaking a tie in a playoff game, the only statistics used are from that specific game. Cumulative season stats are not considered.
* All touchdowns scored by the team (passing, rushing, receiving, returns, and defensive) are counted in the playoff tiebreaker. This includes TDs scored by individual offensive players, defensive teams, and individual defensive players (if used).
* Regular-season head-to-head results are not factored into playoff tiebreakers.
* Only the touchdown categories used in your league are used to settle ties. If no touchdown categories exist within your league, the tie is settled by quarterback points (assuming the QB position exists).

Re: Weird Fantasy Football
Leave it to me to have to make people dig down and read the fine print. All because Drew became human for one game.
Re: Weird Fantasy Football
Hey Pez.....
Maybe next year we should end the season at 16 games vs 17 games to avoid all the teams resting there starters. My opponent has a major Colt team that I will not have to deal with and of course I have several players also, just like the rest of us. Of course I'm not sure Yahoo allows it.
Oh while I am at it might as well do a little bragging as I just won the championship on NFL.com since they ended the season on last weekends game.
CHAMPION!
Dec. 29, 2009
Scooby's Dog Pound won the Cutlers bears Championship by a score of 90 to 87 over dabears771. Jerome Harrison led the team in scoring in the championship round and Tony Romo led the team in scoring for the season. Congrats once again to Scooby's Dog Pound on a terrific Fantasy Football Season. Hope to see you all next year!
Can I make it two this weekend?!?!

Sry guys, been on vacation, and being in IT, a computer is one of the last things I want to do while on vacation... yea, I agree to cut the season shorter next year... I would have changed it this year if I had realized it went all the way to week 17... it looks Like the scoobinator is going to win it all with the Colts heavy razors...

Re: Weird Fantasy Football
That's a tough call. On one hand I agree it can be frustrating when you have a team full of players that are sitting because their real-life team already wrapped it up (yet another reason for teams to play to win every game!
). On the other hand, you could look at it as another part of the strategy of fantasy football. One is that's a risk you take when you stack a bunch of players from one team. And another, it shows the importance of having good backups. I kind of got hosed this past weekend when Aaron Rodgers got pulled early in a blowout. But those are the breaks.
