In the end the "47% comment" was probably Romney's downfall, even though it was true! Look on the bright side. Okay there is no bright side.
What about some of the other races? Can't say I'm surprised about Murdock. He just appeared too far to the right for some. Kind of disappointed that Rupert isn't our next governor. At least we can move to Colorado and get stoned!

Hey all ... bman here ... had to register as bman2. Just so you all know it is me, I am a short fat balding liberal who lived in Aboite Township, attended Sonrise Church and worked for GTE/Verizon.
Am I confirmed?
First, I would like to say ... YES, I supported OUR President for re-election. He was far and away a better candidate than anything the republicans even attempted at running. I think this election taught you guy's something ... your abortion stance is a no-go, Roe vs Wade is settled law, the SC or the legislatures should not attempt to circumvent the law again. Secondly, I think this election showed you guys that the American populace is moderating on gay marriage, your party better get on board. Over 80% of those under the age of 30 support same sex marriage. Third, LATINO's vote ... self deportation is not the answer. LOL Finally, the people spoke and we think the rich need to pay a little more to start to cure what ails this economy.
Yep ... I decided to check over here out of the blue today to see if this board was still in existence or what. Good to see that about 3-4 of you come on here to spew your right wing venom.
Hope all of you are well ...
Forward!!!!
4 more Years! 4 more Years.
Not sure how often I will check this spot but now that I tippy toed back in to gloat I will have to check back at least once to pick up all of the accolades on the election victories that we liberals experienced this year.
Cheers!

Well, first of all, no "venom" from any right wingers here. Second, I agree with you that the Latino vote made the difference, but do not agree about deportation. As soon as you grant amnesty, all will be coming expecting the same.
On another note, very sad to hear about Stan Buck and his battles with cancer. He was my neighbor at one time. Do you see him at Sonrise often?

Mark, I no longer attend Sonrise since I live in the metro Columbus Ohio area now but I stay in touch with Stan via emails and on facebook. I know his health is quickly now starting to decline ... very sad. You probably know the story well ... he went into remission for a while but the tumor came back. Now it appears resistant to treatment so they have stopped medical treatments and he is starting to really lose this battle quickly. Today is the 25th. anniversary of Sonrise, the celebration was supposed to be in December but they had to move it up to today due to his declining health and wanting to ensure he got to be part of what he built. So sad ... he is really a good guy.
Thanks for your concern.

How come when it is a Liberal cause i.e. roe vs wade it is "settled law" but when it is a conservate cause is ruled for the conservatei it isn't still haven't figured that one out. No surprise on the states that approved gay marriage.
p.s. welcome back.

What conservative SC settled law are we trying to relitigate?

Never specified a SC settled law. But how many times has gay marriage been defeated in California by both the courts and the voters, but they still keep challenging the "settled law". Just one example.

The SC hasn't ruled on any cases regarding gay marriage so this is not settled law.
