Oh, Please....
Is this a political issue? Seems to me this article, and your intent is only to distract readers with things that have little to do with the real issues that need attention during this race.
... do I need to say it?

Must've been big enough news for MSNBC to put it on their home page. I don't believe anything was said about it being a 'political issue'. Maybe the real issue is the media's constant distraction of its readers and listeners.

To coin Meta ... "if this is the best chit they got, they ain't got chit". So he acknowledged that he should not have had his daughters interviewed ... I agree, that was a mistake. John McCain is a flipflopper on taxes of all things. Then: I oppose the Bush tax cuts ... now: I want to make them permanent and increase them" WTF? Drilling for oil ... then: NO ... now: YES. Religion ... then: Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson are agents of intolerance now: I kissed Jerry Falwells feet and give commencement addresses at his graduations and hug John Hagee.
Give me a freakin' break ...

What's this "they"? The link is from MSNBC, I thought they were in BHO's back pocket.

What if... the dreaded disease. Are you surprised you haven't heard fluffy crap like this from the Dems?

I don't even know what to say to that. I guess because MSNBC reported on it it MUST be newsWORTHY, because everyone knows MSNBC is...
1. the fuller spectrum of news
2. the place for politics
3. America's fastest growing news channel
You made the comment about maintaining one position. I considered that must have been an attempted reference to a "flip-flop" style. Next you and yours may be pointing out that he prefers to wear slip-on shoes instead of lace-ups, and invariably this suggests he wants to take the easy way out of things.

Madonna and A-Rod and all the other celebrities make it on the headline news with their cavorting and sex scandals.
Being on MSNBC frontpage doesn't necessarily make it news worthy.

Hehe, I think my favorite word that you used was "cavorting".... nice!

Re: A bit Trivial, but...
"News worthy" has many different takes. Some find the Madonna / A-Rod stuff newsworthy. Some don't. MSNBC and others are just trying to appeal to as many people as possible.
For example, I like baseball and football, and usually go to CBSSports.com to check out what's going on. In addition to those sports, they also put what they deem as "news worthy" material about other sports as well, all in an effort to appeal to other people than just me that go there for only baseball and football. BTW, their "Spin" section can be quite entertaining though!!!

So you admit it's a bit trivial, but then make a very broad conclusion based On something that you prefaced as a bit trivial. Are cons so worried about Obama that they cant allow him to make decisions Like a human being? A president isnt perfect, the difference between a good president and a bad one is that one will stand up and admit a mistake, another will "stay the course"

The trivial nature of the First Families reservations about dragging their kids into the spotlight is nothing unique to the Obama family...

Politically Incorrect's Bill Maher has a slightly different view. He didn't bring up the teens until last week, after the latest incident, and even then has mixed feelings.
"I just philosophically don't think you should make fun of kids," he says. "We didn't elect them."
He started to joke about them only after the most recent incident, because, he says, it seemed like "they absolutely insisted."
Maher says that when he brings up Jenna and Barbara, he tries to steer the material back toward the president, who's "in the ring."

Hmm - that makes the pages, yet there's barely a peep about his apparent intentions to vote for the latest FISA bill? What gives?

Well, it sounds that he did apparently end up voting for this piece of legislation which gives retroactive immunity to telecom companies for their part in the warrantless domestic wiretapping.

I think it's a non issue.... but I also think he's a complete idiot for putting his 7 and 10 yr old daughters on TV and expecting anything good to come from it.

Interesting how this thread went from BHO's daughters on TV to Olbermann's rant about the FISA bill.

Re: A bit Trivial, but...
The FISA thing is interesting to me. I cant understand why Obama decided to return to Washington to vote for it, when McCain didnt seem interested enough to show up. Why would Obama take the flak of voting for this bill, when McCain doesnt seem to be willing to.
I dont view the protection for the phone companies to be what everyone seems to think it is. When West refused to turn over records requested by FISA, they did so on the grounds that it would be illegal for them to do so. Now the phone companies have no right to refuse because it's legal for them to provide the data.
I only hope that there will finally be a constitutional challenge to FISA that reaches the supreme court... the smell of this thing is horrid.

Obamaco has to expect that the family of a presidential candidate is going to be spotlighted by the media.
