Park Place gets new owner and new name - 'L'Asiatique'
Kevin Leininger reports in today's News-Sentinel that Park Place restaurant owner Bill Bean has sold the Main Street landmark eatery to Executive Chef Pete Jovevski.

The restaurant will be renamed and the menu revamped, Leininger reports.

No word yet on whether the announcements of the Conservative Breakfast Club will soon be noting the location of the Monday morning meetings as 'L'Asiatique.'

The new restaurant, reopening in mid-August, will be bearing the same name as a well-regarded restaurant in Cairo. The Egyptian restaurant is located on a barge on the Nile.

It can be safely said that it is highly unlikely that the concept of a restaurant floating on one of Fort Wayne's three rivers is being contemplated.
