Casa Grande Mexican Grill

Post  IrishGuy on Mon May 04, 2009 8:35 am

There is a new place that just opened a couple of weeks ago. It's located next to the post office at Stellhorn and Maplecrest Roads. The family and I ate lunch there on Sunday. I had the best burrito I've ever eaten. It was on the lunch menu and called the San Jose Burrito, I think. It had marinated, grilled chicken, chorizo, beans and rice inside, then covered with melted white cheese and cilantro. It was amazing.

Also, they serve the standared chips and salsa upon seating but they also give you some kind of white dip. It was a ranch or sour cream based dip with a bit of a spicy kick to it. I will definitely go back and check it out again.

The Itallian place is Casa Grille, located at the southeast corner of Stellhorn & Maplecrest Roads. Casa Grande Mexican Grill is on the northwest corner of the intersection over near the Pizza Hut.

Irishguy I don't know your area of town real well up that way but I had to go to persons house to pick up some supplies for a volunteer group I am involved with at Southwick elementary and they live out that way and I tried to find the Blu Tomato to eat at it and could not find it but I saw this Casa Grande Mexican Grill and thought I saw it wrong and assumed it was just a Casa's ... next time up that way I will try it out.

BTW ... where in the hell is the blue tomato?

Blue Tomato is on the west side of Maplecrest Rd., north of State Blvd. and South of Trier Rd. There is a Blemont Beverage right next to it and the Dicky's Wild Hare (used to be Munchie Emporium) across the street.

speaking of Ziffle's, we tried to get ziffle's caryout for dinner last night, that's what the mother-in-law wanted. I know they arent usually open on Sundays, but you'd a thunk they would have opened the place up for Mother's Day. Seems like they could have made alot of money. Oh well, we took our business elsewhere.
